LEGO 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade designer video released

The latest LEGO designer video is available now, this time shedding some light on the development of 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade

Following videos for other LEGO Icons and similarly massive models, 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade is being explored by the original creator of PAC-MAN Toru Iwatani, and senior designer Sven Franic.

It’s rare for LEGO designer videos to include hosts from outside of the LEGO Group but Iwatani seems a suitable pick as the creator of the original arcade game. Iwatani explains the game itself and mentions how a yellow LEGO brick inspired the iconic colour of PAC-MAN.

The video is also a good way to see the functions of 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade in action, or you can take a look at our report

“We carefully and meticulously designed the game so that players don’t feel stressed and quit the game,” shared Iwatani. “In terms of precise design, the same goes for LEGO bricks. They are very accurately made.”

For more from Franic, we’ve spoken to the designer in an interview, discovering how another designer inspired its best feature, the mystery in the model and how repetition made for a ‘better experience’

10323 PAC-MAN Arcade Machine is available now for £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99 and you can read our review by clicking here

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
