All original LEGO Friends characters confirmed for 2023 relaunch

It has now been confirmed that all five original LEGO Friends characters will feature in the theme’s 2023 relaunch, but now as adults.

During an Instagram Q&A session, Matthew Ashton of the LEGO Group has clarified that Mia isn’t the only returning character in the 2023 LEGO Friends relaunch, with all of the core cast set to return.

As we theorised after the confirmation of Mia in the theme’s 2023 relaunch, all five original LEGO Friends characters will be back in 2023 as adults with Mia as the mother of Autumn.

LEGO Friends will be almost completely relaunched in 2023 with new packaging, more characters and a fresh core cast to replace Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie. However, longtime enthusiasts of the theme can still look forward to seeing their familiar faces in the theme occasionally.

In the first wave of LEGO Friends models for the relaunch, an older Mia mini-doll is included but this confirmation opens the door for the other four friends to feature in future models too.

You can take a look at the eight new core characters, made up of five girls and three boys, by reading our initial report with each having a full backstory and personality that will be explored further in the theme’s relaunch.

I’m a lego friends geek now. I’ve done lots of looking into where the og characters are, and what they’re doing, and I found that Andrea is a famous pop singer, and I think she actually married JD, Mia is in fact Autumn’s mom obs, Olivia is an astronaut, traveling to mars, Stephanie is the Mayor of Heartlake, as seen in episode seven, Decisions, Decisions, and Emma is out as an art teacher.
