LEGO Marvel 76223 Nano Gauntlet officially revealed

Surprise: LEGO Marvel 76223 Nano Gauntlet has just popped up on the official online store, revealing the first images, price and release date for the 18+ set.

With practically zero fanfare, the red-tinted take on last year’s 76191 Infinity Gauntlet has debuted at LEGO.com with a release date of August 1, 2022. It’s already available to pre-order in the US, where the 675-piece model will retail for $69.99, but those of us in the UK and Europe will have to hang tight for another couple of months.

Just like its predecessor from 2021, 76223 Nano Gauntlet – which recreates the smaller glove designed by Tony Stark, Bruce Banner and Rocket Raccoon in Avengers: Endgame – features all six Infinity Stones, but the build is more than just a straightforward colour swap. The fingers are splayed further from one another, for example, while there’s some great part usage around the stones.

It’s also far more attractively priced than 76191 Infinity Gauntlet, coming in £10 / €10 cheaper in the UK and Europe for 85 more pieces. The amount of drum-lacquered gold elements included in the original gauntlet might have something to do with that, but 76223 Nano Gauntlet still includes a healthy mix of drum-lacquered silver parts among all the dark red.

You’ll be able to pick up 76223 Nano Gauntlet for just £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 when it launches on August 1. 76217 I am Groot will arrive on the same day in the US, but is already available in the UK and Europe, while 76216 Iron Man Armory has launched worldwide today.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
