LEGO Life app may have revealed first look at new Captain Marvel minifigure

A first look at a brand new and updated Captain Marvel minifigure may have been revealed early by the LEGO Life mobile app.

Despite repeated delays, The Marvels is currently scheduled for release on big screens around the world on November 10, 2023. The upcoming MCU movie was originally due to arrive earlier this year, although reported reshoots saw Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania fill that launch slot instead.

The Marvels is a direct sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel, with the sequel set to team up Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers with Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani reprising her role as Ms. Marvel from the Disney+ show. A first trailer for the film features a fun body-swapping storyline, with characters exchanging places whenever they use their powers

A recent rumour suggested that at least one LEGO set based on The Marvels may be debuting on January 1, 2023. Yet another report stated that 76232 might include a minifigure of Kamala Khan’s costumed alter ego, alongside Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Yan D’Aladna.

Now, thanks to the LEGO Life app, we may have an early first look at what a potential new Captain Marvel minifigure might look like. Instagram user michael_bricks_f0rever posted a screenshot from a LEGO Marvel quiz that recently appeared on the app, one that included an image of an updated version of Carol Danvers. While it’s entirely possible the image may just have been created for the game, a new hair piece and torso print could also potentially hint at a revised design for the character.

The most-recent version of Captain Marvel last appeared in two LEGO Marvel sets in 2021, 76196 Marvel Advent Calendar and 76237 Sanctuary II: Endgame Battle. The image of the character in the LEGO Life app certainly seems to match Carol Danvers’ costumed look in the first The Marvels trailer, but there’s no way of knowing if that will be echoed in any potential LEGO Marvel sets.

The LEGO Group has yet to confirm any The Marvels sets at the time of writing, so do treat everything in this report with caution for now.
