Wolverine rumoured to join LEGO Marvel helmets

Rumours suggest that Wolverine will potentially be joining the expanding set of LEGO Helmets this coming June, and will be the second LEGO Marvel helmet currently available.

76250 Wolverine Mask/Helmet, as reported by 1414falconfan on Instagram (via reddit user FluffySky6), will apparently retail for $69.99, and (like the other LEGO helmets that we currently have available) looks like it will be an 18+ set.

However, unlike several of the other LEGO Helmets, the new Wolverine helmet looks like it will be closer to the design of 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet, which is hollow underneath. It seems likely that the helmet will function more like 76182 Batman Cowl, which makes sense as Wolverine wears more of a mask than a helmet.

There have also been two Marvel helmets so far, such as 76165 Iron Man Helmet in 2020 and the more recent 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet that seems to have been timed to precede the release of the third Guardians of the Galaxy film this May.

So far, we’ve seen very little in the way of the X-Men represented in LEGO form, and while part of that reasoning may be that the X-Men aren’t as publicly popular as figures like the Avengers, this could be set to change.

Looking at Wolverine specifically, at the moment we have very few versions of the character in minifigure form, with 76202 Wolverine Mech Armor from 2022 being the most recent version that we currently have. A potential new helmet may raise the possibility of renewed interest in the character, but only time will tell whether that will ring true or not.

The LEGO Helmets collection began in 2020 with 75274 TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet, and since then the series has grown, mostly in terms of new Star Wars related character helmets being announced.

As always, it’s important to note that this and any other set rumours should be considered with caution, as nothing has been officially announced by the LEGO Group at this time.
